KENOYE R. UKU

MD, MPH

Dr. Uku is a board-certified internal medicine specialist and a graduate of the UCLA School of Medicine. He completed his residency training with Kaiser Permanente and later pursued a fellowship in psychiatry at UC Davis, reflecting his deep commitment to holistic patient care.

With over three decades of clinical experience, Dr. Uku has been practicing internal medicine across Southern California since 1987. He served with Kaiser Permanente from 1987 to 2015, followed by his role at Riverside University Health System from 2015 to 2023. He currently provides care within the United States Veterans Health Care System, where he continues his dedication to serving those who have served the country.

Dr. Uku strongly believes that mental health plays a pivotal role in overall medical outcomes. His philosophy centers on treating the whole person—integrating both physical and mental health—to optimize disease management and long-term wellness. This passion led him to complete a one-year fellowship in psychiatry in 2017.

He is committed to delivering care with competence, integrity, and compassion. Dr. Uku prioritizes his patients’ best interests and upholds the highest standards of confidentiality within the law.

Dr Reri Uku is a board-certified, doctoral-prepared Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered mental health care. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Azusa Pacific University and completed my psychiatric training, including child and adolescent psychiatry, at National University. I also hold a master’s degree in Nurse Education and Advanced Community/Public Health from California State University, San Bernardino, where I have served as faculty since 2014.

My clinical experience includes specialized training in post-traumatic stress disorder at VA Long Beach Healthcare System, and I am a certified trauma-informed specialist. I provide comprehensive, evidence-based care, integrating medication management with psychotherapy, including medication-assisted treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

I am committed to delivering personalized, compassionate, holistic care while also serving as an educator, advocate, and partner in each client’s journey toward improved mental wellness.
